BRANDING – Part 3

To stand out, one must differentiate. You might have a great product but not a perfect one. The cherry on top is down to 5 key things, and the department store Harrods has this on lock. In the marketing context, these 5 key things are known as the 5 senses.

I have worked for Harrods three times during my studies, and each time was a blessing. But the last time I worked at Harrods, I was also doing my masters and paying my tuition fees at the same time. Till this day, I have never achieved what I achieved then, it was so stressful yet super rewarding when I graduated. God is great!

During my studies I decided to base my Dissertation thesis on Harrods, with the question, “How does Harrods use Experiential Branding to enhance Consumer experience?” to conclude:

Harrods = BLISS:

B – British … heritage meets cutting edge

L – Luxury … is the new premium, it’s not always expensive

I – Innovation … is always at the forefront of retail trends

S – Sensational … the greatest store on earth

S – Service … to make every customer feel special

BRANDING – Part 2

The first step to branding is engraving belief. If you don’t believe the potential your brand has, then who will? You see, the destiny of a brand should be affection and that begins with you. You have to be the first person who will love your brand, as love is a brands best friend. The quest of a brand is love, whilst destiny – affection, I said it once and I’ll say it again. However, an idea is simply just an idea, but then you must garden your brand until it blossoms.

For a brand to flourish, it must indulge and act upon customer feedback. On another note, a brand that is nostalgic will always thrive. Remember, persistence is instrumental to a great vision and it’s down to you to carry your vision forward. The road to a successful brand is differentiation. To enjoy the cream, you must satisfy your customer, it’s that simple. Things will get tough, however a brand must find its silver lining. The most successful brands are fluent in loyalty, as the bounty of your brand is customer loyalty. To enhance your brand, you must protect customer loyalty, it’s the core of your brand value. The ultimate fortune for a brand is brand loyalty. Your brand should be centred with love and coated with loyalty.

A brand will only blossom when its purpose is sincere, so you cannot make things up. You must be original and genuine. A vital part of branding is emotional branding, how consumers become emotionally attached to products or services – such as apple. Your brand must have the ability of changing peoples’ lives. Story, purpose and love are the perfect ingredients to stir an affectionate brand. Note, brands have feelings too – they need love just like flowers need the sun.

To conclude, your brand should be modest in expectation and honest in strategy. Whereas employees must harvest your secrets for brand longevity. Every brand must carry a scent of creativity. Ideas ignite brands, but only critical action makes dreams come true. Words can be just words but they can also be a melody to your brand, so take the above advice however you want it, but just remember emotional branding, google it at least … it certainly changed my life.

BRANDING

The key to branding is the story, a story that resonates and speaks volumes. A story with a melody and a rhythm that ignites the public. The story is the key to the consumers heart, and your brand must require affection, this my friend must be an obsession.

The remedy to a successful brand is its story, believe me. I said it once and I’ll say it again … it’s a marketing crime if your brand doesn’t have a story. Once the consumer understands your story, they will understand your purpose.

If you truly want to manifest a successful brand, if you want to form a connection with your customer then explain your vision, your ‘aha’ moment, the moment that triggered the action to create what you have created.

And please dream, everyday day think about what your next step to be, but don’t think and talk too much, rather act – have a just do it approach! Good luck everyone, oh … if you need Brand Consultancy then do see our price list, to be honest we’re kinda good at what we do, so give us a Moo!

LOVE – Part 2

Life’s bounty is love which everyone experiences. Experience also lets us digest the meaning of life. Every experience is a thread, woven carefully, tailored with precision from the Divine. We should all harness the present, so that we are able to fully realise the power of love. Love can be eternal through memories. Love is real, love always. You must learn to love life. Each experience is a remedy to the meaning. Good or bad, one must learn to accept, move on and adapt. One thing is certain, we do not know everything but life is beautiful when mystery is high. So do not waste your time trying to answer questions you do not know the answers to. Simply live, and everything will make sense when it’s past tense.

It is not all downhill, there will be dark times that is for certain. Pain is like ice … eventually it melts away, so learn to love the present and distract yourself with the surroundings. There are so many distractions in life – people, nature, animals, music, art, photography, books, the list goes on. You will always have an excuse to enjoy life, every-time. Remember, only the wise appreciate the smell of coffee.

Life is a train journey, to get to your destination there will be many hurdles. Some stops will set you back, others will make you realise, whilst the rest will inspire you to continue. Along the ride, remember to laugh, as laughter is the diamond in the mine. Do not take everything too seriously, if something does not go your way then there is always another option. Make laughter your solution. Furthermore you should invest in memories, because memories are priceless. Memories are eternal, so make the most of the present. Forgive, forget, live, and love, for life can be short. It is the moment we must focus on, the people around us, and working towards hope. Life is absolute when love leads the way, because love is the stream of life.

Love is life’s chorus, so cherish it well. Infuse positivity through every day living, allow your personality to blossom with rich thoughts. Being positive will complement not only yourself, but others. Love ignites and reflects, so remember that giving love is potent to your personal well being. Be bold, magnetic, and exceptional in the moment because life is concrete with love.

The power of love is in tune with the language of the stars and the language of the stars lives in your heart. If you find yourself in doubt, listen to the sound of your heart … somehow it knows your path and the decisions you should make at the present moment. The heart is where wisdom lives, and with wisdom come positive thoughts. Remember the nectar of life is your heart, so do not ignore it.

BEAUTY

I have a quote, “only the wise appreciate the smell of coffee” meaning people who appreciate nature, food, and of course people are the ones who truly live. Beauty is everywhere, just pay attention to the birds in the morning, the wind in the afternoon, the beaming light of the sun, the rare rainbows, the waterfalls, the rain that sustains us, the flowers, the bees, the birds, the life … isn’t it wonderful.

I will be lying if I said that I have never experienced depression, after breaking up with my first ever girlfriend, things were tough. I turned into a totally different person, and at times into the Incredible Hulk for those that were on beef. But why, why is there a need, so I changed. I changed for my mum, I changed for my loved ones, I changed and became a better person. Every night before bed I say my prayers, and every morning I do the same. Praying equals protection, it is life’s necessity.

Oh people, appreciate the smell of coffee, appreciate the goodness life has to offer. We are allowed to enjoy life, just like the sweetness of honey. It’s instrumental that gratitude is the melody to our daily habits. Remember, your pilgrimage of happiness only begins when you are grateful. So, continue loving, continue appreciating, continue creating positive nostalgic memories by painting happiness.

LOVE

From birth, we are destined to love. For love is a language with infinite meanings, and it can only be learned through experience. Love is the pillar of life, without love meaning is lost. One should always be optimistic about life and continue the journey. There is always a silver lining with love, so no matter the experience, love can lead the way. For love, drives life.

I first experienced love when my mother held me for the first time. My mother therefore, became the first person I loved because I saw her often … 7 days and 7 nights. To fully understand love and not fear the word, one must realise that love is everything. Love can also be a reflection, so one must first love yourself. If you are not truly loving yourself then you will find it difficult to love others. You need to remind yourself that you are loved, and you should continue loving. Live with emotion, do not be afraid to show your sensitive side. Control your emotions by all means, but at times allow your heart to blossom.

The secret recipe of life is love, it is truly the core ingredient to our being. Love is the alchemy of life and life always has an appetite for love. It helps us absorb meaning, flourish thought, and become potent in everyday living. Love is heavenly, irresistible, timeless, and nostalgic all in one. Love creates and reflects memories, it allows us to be in sync with the cosmic law. Divine intelligence starts with love, for love is truly the melody of life … helping us connect with our purpose – destiny.

Love can be a quest, searching for the one and it can also remind us of gratitude, for our family and friends, shelter, security, and ones health. You must find a way to your happiness. Love is the perfect chord to true happiness and the pilgrimage of happiness only begins when you are grateful.

INSPIRATION

Hope, this very word has fascinated me ever since Year 9. Mr. Warwick, our english teacher gave us the task of analysing what is now my favourite film. It was about a man who was put in prison for a crime he did not commit. At first, he found it difficult adjusting to prison life but he never gave up on hope. Whilst he was inside he met a friend who was negative about hope. In the end he escaped from prison by digging his way out and his friend (having been released) found hope again. I watched the film countless times and I used it as an inspiration to my life. I have encountered many ups and many downs, but I always hoped, for hope is paramount to the journey (life).

I was in my first year of college sixth form, and suddenly my Dad was left paralysed. As a kid, I always wanted to be like my dad. He was a music teacher and a pianist who taught me how to play my first song. It was hard to accept that his condition had changed. I felt like my whole life had crumbled. All I prayed for is for him to walk again, I hoped.

After six months of rehab he was slowly improving, and after a year the therapy was a success to an extent. It meant that he was still going to experience slow reflexes throughout the left side of his body. I can never forget the time when I would motivate my dad to walk in the park. With a stick, hanging on to my arm whilst people would walk past. This would make me so sad, I just wanted him to walk again. A few years went by and he not only started walking but also driving.

The Shawshank Redemption is without a doubt my favourite ever film and it was a huge inspiration throughout my dad’s journey to recovery. Quotes like, “hope is a good thing, maybe the best of things, and no good thing ever dies” inspired me, along with, “get busy living … or get busy dying.” However the quote that changed my life is, “fear can hold you prisoner … hope can set you free.”
